A photographer was confronted and harassed by Sandy Springs police officers for filming in the street outside Cardi B and Offset’s home.

The photographer was filming footage for a news report on the rap couple when Cardi and Offset’s private security confronted him in the street.

In the footage, the photographer complained that one security guard slapped his camera and covered the front of the lens to prevent him from filming.

The photographer explained his First Amendment rights to “walk down the street and record.” But one officer, who refused to give his name, started intimidating the guy by claiming he was “in the street” blocking traffic.

Police eventually took the photographer into custody and removed him from the area, according to Vladtv.com.

It isn’t clear if the man was arrested. Sandy Springs police are known for being heavy handed with outsiders, which explains why the crime rate is low in the Atlanta suburb.

Sandy Springs has a population of 108,080 according to the 2020 census. It is Georgia’s 7th largest city.

In addition to homes in Atlanta and Los Angeles, Cardi B and Offset also own a house in New York.

“These days I don’t just live one place, I’m everywhere due to my work,” Cardi explained in a social media post.

“One thing for sure I needed a home in my home city of NY! I’m soo proud of myself. I work so hard for my children to be comfortable everywhere they are regardless of work. Me and my husband have always dreamed of having a crib in NY, and we have decided to add to our portfolio of homes, along with Atlanta and LA.”
