Man who executed a father and his stepson is shot by police (Video)

Screencap

A neighbor wanted in the double murders of a man and his stepson was shot and wounded by police during a traffic stop in Brooklyn early Wednesday.

Jason Pass, 47, was identified as the suspect in the cold-blooded killings of 47-year-old school bus driver Bladimy Mathurin and his 27-year-old stepson, Chinwai Mode in the hallway of their apartment building Sunday night.

Police said Pass was involved in a dispute with his upstairs neighbors over noise complaints.

Surveillance video showed Pass and Mathurin (pictured) arguing outside Mathurin’s apartment at Brooklyn’s Flatbush Gardens apartment complex.

Mathurin went back inside the apartment and emerged with a pair of scissors in his hand.

Mathurin’s wife attempted to pull him back inside the apartment but he resisted — until Pass produced a handgun and pointed it at him. Mathurin tried to retreat but he was shot in the back.

Pass then turned the gun on Chinwai Mode and shot him multiple times before standing over Mathurin and shooting him again. Pass then fled the crime scene.

About 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Pass was driving on Bay 44th Street in Brooklyn when police got a hit on his license plate and conducted a traffic stop.

“He charged at them with a knife,” a police source told The New York Post, calling it an attempted suicide by cop.

Pass was rushed to NYU Langone Hospital where he is listed in critical condition, according to the NYPD.

Pass, who often stayed with his elderly mother in the complex, had long complained about the noise from the upstairs apartment, according to police.

Pass’ older sister told The Post that Mathurin and his family had threatened her mom and brother prior to the shootings.

The shooting, she claimed, was “self defense.”

Pass was fired from his job as a correction officer at Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Westchester in 2005 after he pulled a gun on two plainclothes police officers in a road rage incident.
