Atlanta’s Mayor Prepares for Thousands of Immigrants (Video)

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens is preparing for an influx of illegal immigrants from New York and Chicago.

According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Mayor Andre Dickens asked for and received nearly $7 million for shelter in Atlanta area hotels, food, and other necessities for thousands of migrants who have poured over the southern border into the U.S.

The $7 million budget, approved by Atlanta’s City Council, will go to feed the migrants, put them up in hotels and meet other basic needs, according to FOX 5.
 

Other sanctuary cities are struggling with the influx of immigrants bused from the border state of Texas.

Black Chicago residents are being displaced to provide shelter for the immigrants.

Over 600 Chicago residents attended a community meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 3 to show support for kids in the Amundsen Park youth football program who are being kicked out of their sports facility.

“You want to take the little scraps of resources we have and put us at the bottom of the barrel? That’s not fair!” one woman yelled.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration has resumed deporting immigrants back to Venezuela, two U.S. officials told The Associated Press on Thursday.

Deportation flights are expected to begin shortly, officials said.

Additionally, Biden has authorized funds to complete construction on former President Trump’s border wall to crack down on those who illegally cross into the country from Mexico.

Biden previously said a border wall would not stop migrants from entering the country illegally.
