Adrienne Bailon says she and her husband Israel Houghton spent “easily over a million” on in-vitro fertilization treatments.

The former Cheetah Girls singer, 40, and Houghton, who were married in 2016, welcomed their son, Ever, via a surrogate in August 2022.

Houghton, 52, has four children from a previous marriage.

Bailon shared her six-year fertility journey with People.com.

“I only did eight cycles of IVF, but that doesn’t include the amount of IUIs I did and every other kind of imaginable treatments that you could imagine for fertility,” she said.

“So it was a pretty tough six years of trying to have my son,” she added.

When asked how much she spent on IVF treatments, the mom-of-one responded, “Easily over a million.”

Bailon recognizes that the figure she spent on IVF treatments “is not realistic for the average person.”
