“Black-ish” star Anthony Anderson has agreed to pay his ex-wife over $4 million to settle their divorce case.

In court documents obtained by The Blast, Anthony, 53, agreed to pay monthly spousal support to Alvina Stewart, in addition to a $4 million lump sum payment.

Alvina originally filed for divorce in 2015, but the couple reconciled two years later. Then on March 25, 2022, she filed for divorce again after 22 years of marriage. Alvina requested spousal support and attorney’s fees.

During a recent interview, Anderson opened up about meeting his wife in college.

“My sophomore year, her freshman year, I knew a girl who lived in the apartment, so I went to knock on the door to invite her to this party that I and my buddies were having. My wife answered the door. I was like, ‘I was coming to invite Stacey to this party we’re having.’ Stacey didn’t show up, but my wife did – and we have been together ever since that night,” he said.

Anthony is not required to pay child support since their two children, Kyra and Nathan, are adults.

According to reports, the ex-couple sold their family home in Encino and split the profits from the sale after paying off the mortgage, commissions, and escrow company.

Anthony also co-signed his ex-wife’s lease, so she could “secure alternate housing” since she didn’t have proof of income.
